About this device
Clinical Validation
OMRON states all of its blood pressure monitors have been clinically validated for use on adults in the general population. We were unable to find a specific validation for this model (HEM-7188-EO); however, it has been deemed equivalent to a previous OMRON model (HEM-9200T): ANSI/AAMI/ISO 2013.
Approved for use by the European Society of Hypertension (STRIDE BP)
Design and screen
Simplified design with easy-to-read display.
D-ring Cuff
Size: 22-32cm
OMRON’s medium-sized blood pressure cuff is designed to fit arms measuring 22-32cm.
This monitor is also compatible with optional cuffs (Small: 17-22cm and Large/Wide range: 22-42cm).
Cuff Wrap Guide
The cuff wrap guide on the monitors’ display indicates whether the cuff is properly secured or too loose, helping prevent inaccurate results.
Irregular heartbeat detection
Works by analysing the pulse during a blood pressure measurement. If an irregularity is detected, the device displays an irregular heartbeat symbol.
This feature does not replace a doctor’s examination but helps to detect an irregular heartbeat at an early stage.
Body movement detection
Alerts the user if any movement during the blood pressure reading may have compromised the measurement. This is to ensure more accurate and reliable blood pressure readings.
